I KNOW that I’ve heard this song a million times, but something was different this time. It seemed like the song was written for me this time. It seemed like the words were the exact match to the very prayers that I’ve been praying since we decided to start back trying. Literally word for word. My prayers have been that my hope remain regardless of the storm. That my hope remain confident, regardless of the results of my ovulation tests, my cycle length or the results of my upcoming OB appointment. That I continue to rest in the promises of our Father, when things are going “well” and even when things seem to be going…. not so well. That I remember that I have eternal victory, regardless of what happens on this Earth. Have a listen here. (And let the words settle in.)

I decided to match up some Scriptures to these lyrics so that we could be CONFIDENT that what we sing IS indeed a promise from our Father. Therefore, we sing and declare this TRUTH over our lives.
As I walk this great unknown
Questions come and questions go
Was there purpose for the pain?
Did I cry these tears in vain?
I don’t want to live in fear
I want to trust that You are near
Trust Your grace can be seen
In both triumph and tragedy
I have this hope
In the depth of my soul
In the flood or the fire
You’re with me and You won’t let go
But sometimes my faith feels thin
Like the night will never end
Will You catch every tear
Or will You just leave me here?
So, whatever happens I will not be afraid
Cause You are closer than this breath that I take
You calm the storm when I hear You call my name
I still believe that one day I’ll see Your face

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
I know it is very hard in the wait. I know we hear over and over, to REST. I struggled with resting, because I didn’t know what to rest in at first. I had to develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with our Father so that I knew what I was resting in. How do you do that? By learning his Word. That’s why I started the sticky note scriptures. I have them posted everywhere around me. Take these Scriptures and meditate on them this week. You can be confident in these things, because these are promises from Abba. He IS good & faithful. You CAN be confident in that.
