Whew, If this song doesn’t speak to your SOUL… I don’t know what will. I listen to Elevation Worship ALL of the time, but somehow I’ve just discovered this song. It’s funny how I’ve been reading and learning about faith & then I’m lead to this song.
I don’t have much to say about this song. The lyrics speak. Just listen, and allow this song to be the cry of your heart before our Father.
Give me faith to trust what you say
That you’re good and your love is great
I’m broken inside, I give you my life
‘Cause I may be weak
But Your spirit strong in me
My flesh may fail
My God you never will
Sis, I want you to know that you don’t have to have it “all together” on this journey. As a matter of fact, you WON’T have it together most of the time. Abba carries me every single day. It’s only in his strength that I go on. Sis, It’s okay to be broken before our Father. It’s okay to need him to carry you. It’s okay to tell him that it’s hard for you to say that he is “good” when everyone around you is pregnant. It’s okay to tell him that you feel lonely, forgotten and upset. It’s okay to talk to him. It’s okay to weep at his feet. It’s okay to hand him your heart in its broken and shatter pieces from a pregnancy announcement, from a inventive comment, from the pain of a negative pregnancy test. Sis, It’s okay to be weak. HE is strong. Not us.
“Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. -2 Corinthians 12:8-10
