The Story of Faith…
July 10, 2017
It is such an honor to share the story of a miracle baby, written by a miracle baby named FAITH! Maybe I’m being “too deep,” nahhh God is so amazing. Through her obedience, Faith has privately poured encouragement and hope into me. I was soooo excited when she said that he parents were open to sharing the story of (their) Faith.
“She was very depressed, and let down every month. In her mind, she always thought she was pregnant. She would cry and lie around every month when her month cycle came around… for almost 7 years. Her and her husband had been married for 10 years. Being a man, he didn’t react too much . For him, seeing his wife hurt is what really hurt him. They went to fertility clinics and there was never an explanation. They even tried artificial insemination! Twice, nothing happened. She questioned God quite often. When she was in public she would see other people with their babies and always wondered what was wrong with her? Was she not good enough to be a mom? It was heart breaking. Eventually, they tried to forget about it.
But God didn’t forget the desires of their heart. Their relationship with God and their faith grew. One day, it was like a dream. She was finally pregnant. For about 3-4 months she sincerely couldn’t process or believe that she was expecting! They were happy and grateful! On July 28, 1996 they gave birth to a baby girl and named her “Faith” because of what it took to get her here–faith.
That baby girl is me, and I am now about to be 21 years old! The story of my parents is truly heartbreaking to hear of how they suffered. On the other side, it is the most joyful and most honoring story of God’s faithfulness. For my parents’ situation, they truly believe that God was just not ready for them to bring life into this world until that very moment. My parents still had growing to do in their faith. Hearing my parents retell this story truly brought tears to my eyes and it makes me feel so special to have been able to be an answered prayer, and the most precious gift to them. My mother was 35 when she gave birth to me. Three years later she gave birth to my little sister. They named her Joy, and we were and are perfectly healthy. My parents truly believe that God has such a great purpose for us on this earth because it was so difficult for us to get here. I hope that being a “miracle baby” can inspire others and give them hope. I don’t know why God chose to do it this way, but we can trust that he has a very specific plan, purpose, and reason for our lives . (Jer. 29:11 ; Jer. 1:5
